16th session of the IOC Committee on International Oceanographic
Data and Information Exchange (IODE-XVI) was held in Lisbon, Portugal
from 30 October 2000 to 9 November 2000.
The
second ODINAFRICA-II Planning and review Workshop was held in November
2001.
The
Prime Minister's Office gave its approval for the official establishment
of the NODC at the Meteorological Services in November 1999.
